National arrangements on how to receive and deliver international assistance
The Framework Law on Protection and Rescue of People and Material Goods against Natural or other Disasters in Bosnia and Herzegovina (Official Gazette BH, no: 50/08)
In line with articles 7 and 8 of the Law, the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina is the one authorized to request, receive and offer international assistance.

Memorandum of Understanding on vital civil cross-border transportation facilitation was approved by the Senior Civil Emergency Planning Committee of NATO at the Plenary Session dated May 11th 2006 and signed by the Minister of Security on May 26th 2008.

The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina passed Instructions on manner and procedures of state border crossing during receiving and/or sending international assistance in the field of protection and rescue on 11th June 2009 and the Instructions for interdepartmental coordination on the occasion of receiving, sending and transiting of international assistance for protection and rescue purposes on 3rd September 2013.
