The objective of this project was to prepare and adopt plans by 12 municipalities of Montenegro on how to react in cases of floods. This came as a consequence of the floods that affected twice these municipalities in 2010 and that caught the municipalities unprepared on how to react to this kind of emergency. Therefore, this project, funded by UNDP Montenegro, is helping overcoming this lack in the operational capacities by pushing municipalities to draft and adopt plans to address emergencies from floods. Plans were finished on according than EU Directive about floods and MNE legislative documents.
The municipalities target of this project were: Podgorica (local communities of Tuzi and Golubovci), Nikšić, Cetinje, Danilovgrad, Berane, Mojkovac, Kolašin, Bijelo Polje, Andrijevica, Plav, Bar and Ulcinj.
